BMSEED is a life-science instrumentation company headquartered in Mesa, Arizona that designs and manufactures advanced research tools for in vitro modeling.

Why It Matters
Pre-clinical research often suffers from a mismatch between rigid in vitro models and complex human biology. BMSEED’s platforms help close that gap by:
- Simulating the mechanical and electrical environment of living tissues with stretchable multielectrode arrays, thus producing data that better reflects in vivo behavior. 
- Enabling repeated, non-invasive recordings from the same device (for example, before and after injury) because the electrodes stretch with the tissues, thus enhancing experimental repeatability and reproducibility. 
- Supporting early elimination of less promising drug candidates by creating a more biomimetic environment, thereby saving time, reducing cost, and lowering risk in clinical trials. 
Our Products
Our core capabilities include:
- All-in-One Cell Stretching Systems (MEASSuRE): Combine electrophysiology, mechanics, and imaging to save time and resources, or use as stand-alone modules. Apply physiological or pathological mechanical forces up to 50% strain at 50/s strain rate to cells or tissues. 
- Stretchable MultiElectrode Arrays (sMEAs): Allow simultaneous mechanical loading (stretching), electrical stimulation/recording, and optical imaging in a single platform to mimic dynamic cellular environments. Available in single- or six-well configurations. 
- Glass MultiElectrode Arrays (gMEAs): Rigid multielectrode arrays designed for electrophysiological recording and imaging. Ideal for long-term experiments or applications that don’t require mechanical stretch. 
- Microfluidic Chips and Modules: Support 3D co-cultures in physiologically relevant environments where neurons and glia can physically enmesh, interact functionally, and respond to mechanical or biochemical cues from MEASSuRE.
